Taiyuan Tourism College Teaching

From September 2014 to June 2015, I taught English and cross-cultural awareness to undergraduate college students at Taiyuan Tourism College. Taiyuan is the capital city of Shanxi Province in northern China.

The students at Taiyuan Tourism College are training for tourism and hospitality roles such as as tour guides and hotel management staff.

While living in Taiyuan, I was invited to visit MaBuCun (Mabao Village) in Wuxiang County for Lantern Festivals and to tour natural and historic attractions in the area. From the insights I gained, I wrote the article “Memorable Times” for the Beijing Review newspaper.
