I am editor, lead writer, and a director of RealKM Magazine, which celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2025, has won two major awards, and published more than 2,500 articles that have received more than 5 million views.

I was lead organiser of the KM Triversary Forum 2025, a global online event which had the theme “bridging the research-practice gap in knowledge management (KM)” and attracted more than 130 participants.
From September 2022 to August 2025, I taught IELTS test preparation and English speaking and listening in the Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU) Certified High-school Program (CHP) at Baotou No. 95 Middle School, which is one of the top 100 high schools in China.
In 2024, I led a campaign on behalf of three global knowledge management (KM) organisations which has informed “Action 32. We will protect, build on and complement Indigenous, traditional and local knowledge” in the UN Pact for the Future.
In 2023, the paper of which I am lead author proposing the decolonisation of knowledge as a new sixth generation of knowledge management for sustainable development (KM4SD) was launched in a landmark event at the Dr Martin Luther King Jr Memorial Library in Washington DC.
From December 2018 to February 2021, I taught the Academic English subject for the University of New South Wales (UNSW) Global Foundation Studies Program in China.
I was invited to participate in the KM Asia 2019 Conference in Hong Kong as the second opening presenter, and also member of a panel exploring professional certification for knowledge managers.
I was invited to participate in the Knowledge Management Singapore 2018 (KMSG18) Conference as a keynote presenter, masterclass leader, and expert panel member.
From July 2015 to June 2018, I taught at Shanxi University, which is located in Taiyuan, the capital city of Shanxi Province in northern China. I taught academic English writing, oral English, and cultural awareness, and I also initiated and taught two new knowledge management (KM) subjects.
I was invited to participate in the 23rd Annual Conference & Exhibition of the Special Libraries Association / Arabian Gulf Chapter (SLA/AGC) in 2017 in Bahrain, where I joined a panel session on the expanding role of business information in the knowledge economy.
