Land & Water Australia Knowledge for Regional NRM Program
In 2006-08, I was the team leader for the “Better practice in knowledge management” package of Phase 2 of the Land & Water Australia (LWA) Knowledge for Regional NRM Program.
This package consisted of:
- A Regional Knowledge Strategy process, as described in the RealKM Magazine article Case Study: A knowledge strategy process for natural resource management organisations.
- The development of the Regional Knowledge Resource Kit (RKRK), a wiki website documenting the Regional Knowledge Strategy process and providing a comprehensive range of information and knowledge management resources useful to the NRM sector.
- Training in the facilitation of the Regional Knowledge Strategy process and the use of the Regional Knowledge Resource Kit (RKRK).
I also compiled the program final report Knowledge for Regional Natural Resource Management – Achievements and options.
Phase 2 of the Land & Water Australia (LWA) Knowledge for Regional NRM Program won a Platinum Award in the actKM Forum 2008 Knowledge Management Awards. ‘Platinum’ is the highest award category and awards at this level are rarely made.
