Shanxi University Teaching
From July 2015 to June 2018, I taught at Shanxi University, which is located in Taiyuan, the capital city of Shanxi Province in northern China.
Established in 1902, Shanxi University is the leading university in Shanxi Province, and ranked 70th of 2,236 colleges and universities across China in the Wu Shulian Chinese university rankings.
My teaching included initiating two new knowledge management subjects, being (1) an introductory KM subject as part of undergraduate library and information science (LIS) courses, and (2) a knowledge management and innovation subject for PhD students in the School of Economics and Management. These two knowledge management subjects implemented elements of the RealKM Open KM Syllabus.
I also taught academic English writing, oral English, and cultural awareness to undergraduate students, and academic English writing to senior professionals from around Shanxi Province who will go overseas as visiting experts.
